Brookings Flying Club General Meeting

August 9, 2023

 

Call to order: Doug called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. 

 

Reading of Minutes: The July 2023 minutes were read and stand as read.

 

1. 1. Fuel Farm Manager 
      1. Jet A fuel order needed
   2. Airplane Maintenance.  
      1. Series of mag checks that are initially poor, but able to be cleared with leaning.  Thin wire plug(s) coming
   3. Treasurer Report
      1. No report this month

• Youth Committee and Scholarship

1. 1. Approval to participate in youth fair in Canyonville
   2. Need a new leader as Rosie is stepping down.

Old Business:

1. Hangar door needing repair / replacement
   1. Quotes needed to produce new wooden frames from truss company
   2. New tracks needed for the top of doors

New Business:

1. Board member compensation.  DIscussion tabled
2. Need for an emergency kit in airplane discussed.
3. Engine overhaul.  Discussion tabled
4. Fuel supplier.  Discussion tabled
5. Fall BBQ?  Anyone want to organize?
