Brookings Flying Club General Meeting

Brookings Airport, Brookings, OR

April 14, 2021

 

Call to order: President Kyle Rice called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM.  This is a hybrid meeting

 

Reading of Minutes: The minutes from March were presented and stand as read.      

 

1. 1. Fuel Farm Manager 
      1. Alan Nidiffer reported the fuel farm is in good working order.  
      2. It was noted that there may be a 100LL fuel leak at a pipe junction near the filter vessel.  After watching for several weeks, no leak can be detected
      3. Need additional fuel checkers
      4. Jet A system needs new flex hose between the meter and the reel
   2. Airplane Maintenance.  
      1. Nothing to note
   3. Treasurer Report
      1. Account balances were reported
      2. Still an outstanding bill to be paid with plane exhaust repair.

• Youth Committee and Scholarship

1. 1. No Scholarship candidates
2. Flight Instruction 
   1. No notes

Old Business:

1. Airport Day Discussion
   1. No Volunteers for event
   2. Potentially delay until July 4th weekend
   3. Parade float, look for volunteers
2. New Covid restriction policy

 

New Business:

1. Fuel Checkers annual checkout was discussed and will attempt to put together a schedule
2. The club would like to have a summer event again.  After memorial day, perhaps the 1st weekend of June?
