Brookings Flying Club General Meeting

Brookings Airport, Brookings, OR

January 10th, 2024

 

Call to order: Meeting to order at 6:30 PM. 

 

Reading of Minutes: The November 2023 minutes were read and stand as read.

 

1. 1. Fuel Farm Manager 
      1. 100LL Hand sump failure, replacement ordered
   2. Airplane Maintenance.  
      1. Annual in progress, 2 weeks or more before in-service 
   3. Treasurer Report
      1. Account balances reported
      2. Good overall cash position currently
      3. Working on method to pay scholarship that was awarded

• Youth Committee and Scholarship

1. 1. Another request for potential field trip

Old Business:

1. Need to establish trash service for the club
2. Hangar repair needed on Front of “B” side
3. Emma’s scholarship, Peter will continue to work with flight school to make payment
4. Aircraft engine, Doug will get an additional quote
5. City of Brookings has been doing grounds maint
6. Airport day is upcoming.  Organizers looking for details on events this year.

New Business:

1. Field trips, 2 groups interested in taking advantage
2. T-shirts and hats have been organized, some are missing from hangar
3. Club to buy additional camera for hangar B
4. Same slate of Directors has been elected for 2024

   5. Member at large – Greg Ketell
