Brookings Flying Club General Meeting

Brookings Airport, Brookings, OR

April 12, 2023

 

Call to order: Kyle Rice called the meeting to order at 6:31 PM. 

 

Reading of Minutes: The March 2023 minutes were read and stand as read.

 

1. 1. Fuel Farm Manager 
      1. Hand Sump Pump has been replaced on the 100 tank
      2. Currently reviewing fuel supplier contract
   2. Airplane Maintenance.  
      1. Aircraft in good order, a few small items have been recently addressed.  Hinge Pin, landing light
   3. Treasurer Report
      1. Account balances were reported.

• Youth Committee and Scholarship

1. 1. Gold Beach High School Job fair completed

Old Business:

1. Hangar Cleanout completed
2. Possible uses of the “B” side hangar discussed

New Business:

1. Scholarship applicant Daisha Nidiffer present
2. Airport day
   1. Probably no flight simulator
   2. Looking to fill more volunteer positions
   3. New aircraft fueling process on ramp this year
   4. Food service headed by Greg
   5. Shirts/stickers/hats.  Swag discussed and will be ordered
3. No regular June meeting
4. Board members perhaps going to get a fuel credit for their service
5. Nelson spoke about the club policy on ‘borrowing’ club items
